Why I Switched to Lyrical Host
Throughout the years I have been with numerous web hosts! They all offered something to get me to join (free domain, a certain amount of bandwidth, etc) and at the time, I thought it was the best deal in the world! And boy was I wrong lol!

When I started my other blog back in 2015, I looked around at different web hosts and decided to go with Go Daddy. At the time I bought my hosting, they were offering a free domain with purchase! I signed up for a 3-year term and got my blog set up on WordPress right away!
I honestly cannot remember why I decided to go with Go Daddy over any other web host. But if I could go back in time to change my decision, I would!
Now, this post is not about why I left Go Daddy, but one of the main reasons I left was because throughout the 3 years I was with them, they continuously sent me emails to upgrade to a higher package or purchase add-ons for my blog. I was starting to get annoyed by these emails because I did not need these things for my blog!
After the 3 years, it was obviously time for me to renew my plan. About a month before my plan was due to renew, I started receiving emails about pricing for the renewal (as well as upgrading). These prices were way higher than when I first joined!
This was one of the main things I was looking at when in my search for a new host. I did NOT want to have constant emails trying to get me to purchase an add-on and I especially did NOT want to have to pay a different price every year!
How I Found Lyrical Host
That is where Lyrical Host comes to the rescue!
In one of the blogging Facebook Groups that I am in, I made a post that I wanted to change Hosting Companies and to see what people recommended. Everyone kept saying SiteGround or BlueHost. I looked into them, but they were offering the same sort of plans as Go Daddy. I wanted something different!
That is when I found Jenni from Lyrical Host. She commented on my thread that she had recently started her own Hosting Company and if I wanted more information, I could message her. So I did!
From the moment that she sent me the website, I was in LOVE! Just look at how gorgeous it is!
Okay, so I didn’t just sign up because the website was gorgeous, that would be stupid! I signed up because they offered so much more!

Great Customer Service and Community
The main thing that got me interested was the fact that Jenni was super nice! From the get-go, she was answering all of my questions! She has been super helpful the entire time I’ve been with them!
I never once had any sort of interaction with anyone who worked at Go Daddy unless I emailed them or used the chat feature, and even then, they answered the question and then ended the conversation.

Free SSL Certificates
When I was with Go Daddy, I did not know what an SSL Certificate was because no one ever told me I needed one. When I was being migrated over to LH, Joseph (one of the amazing support staff) mentioned that I didn’t have one and asked if I wanted him to set one up.
I was hesitant at first because 1. I didn’t know what it was, and 2. I didn’t want to have to pay for something else at the time. Joseph educated me on what it was and why I needed one, as well as letting me know that LH offered Free SSL Certificates. (Yes, you read that right FREE SSL CERTIFICATES!!!) So obviously I said DO IT! And he set it up for me all right then and there!
They do offer Extended SSL Certificates as well, you can contact them for pricing, but the Free certificate has been perfectly fine for me.
Free Resources every month
I love that I can get Free Resources from LH just for being a hosting customer! There are a few ways that you get these resources.
Every month, Jenni sends out a Newsletter in which she talks about everything that happened that month. For example, the August newsletter will come out at the end of August and she will discuss everything that happened during the month!
However, my favorite part of the newsletter is that she gives you Free Stock Photos that we are allowed to use! Yes, you read that right! FREE STOCK PHOTOS!!!! What?! How awesome is that!? Yes, free stock photos, that you can only download during the following month! Once the month is over, the link expires and you will not be able to get them again!
Jenni takes most of these photos herself (she will sometimes outsource them too) and by offering them only for a limited time, you won’t have the same photos as everyone in the world! Only the LH customers who downloaded them on time will have them!
There is also a Resource Library with PDFs and other downloads that you can use, which you can access only if you are a customer! What other web host does this for you? Go Daddy sure didn’t! Here is an example of some of the Stock Photos and a PDF that I have been able to download since being with Lyrical Host!
They Don’t Upsell You
Does your web host send you emails all the time trying to get you to upgrade your account or buy some additional product that you don’t actually need? Yeah, Go Daddy did too!
That is why LH is great! You NEVER receive an email asking you to purchase anything! Everything that you could ever possibly need for your blog is already included in your hosting plan!
They will occasionally send out an email letting you know of a new service they have implemented on the website, but there is no BUY NOW button in the email, just a link to the page for you to check out!
Free Months!
Lyrical Host allows you to pay for your hosting monthly or yearly (I pay the monthly fee currently)! This was already a better option than my old host because they forced me to pay by the year. But what Go Daddy didn’t offer was free months of service!
LH offers you free months with the purchase of 6-month, 1 year, or 2 year plans! Wait, what? Yeah, I DEFINITELY did not get that with my old host! These show up as a % off on the website rather than “Free Months”, but when you add it up, it will equal out to a number of free months!

Pay the same amount
Another great thing about paying the monthly or yearly fee is that it is going to be the same amount every single time! So if you are paying $19.28 per month, you will continue to pay that same amount for as long as you have hosting with LH! The only time you will ever change prices is if you upgrade your plan yourself!
So for example, let’s say you are on the Tiny WordPress Plan and pay $19.28 per month, you will be paying $19.28 per month the entire time you are on that plan (this could be for 4 months or 4 years). But then you decide to upgrade to the Mighty WordPress Plan, which is $30.31 per month, or the Boss WordPress Plan, which is $41.33 per month. You will then continue to pay $30.31/$41.33 per month for however long you are on that plan for!
The only time you will be asked to pay more is if you are paying for a new plan (that you chose to upgrade/downgrade to) or changing from paying the monthly fee, to paying the yearly fee! THAT IS IT!!!! LH will never change your price on you!
Easy and Free Migration Process
When I first came over to LH, I was worried about how I was going to move my site over from Go Daddy, but here came Jenni to the rescue! She told me that they would Migrate my site over for me FOR FREE!!!
Yes! They offer Free Migrations of your site from your previous host with no downtime! This means a complete transfer of your entire blog from one host to the other! Whether you are coming from wordpress.com, Blogger or even Bluehost, your entire site will be able to be migrated and you will be able to start using it right away!
Giving Back
Do you know of any Hosting Companies that give a part of your hosting payment to a non-profit organization? No?! Well, LH does!
Each month, a portion of my hosting payment is given directly to a non-profit or charitable cause all over the world! These proceeds go to many different causes like this non-profit called Kurandza that funds education for girls in Mozambique!
They plant a tree
The final reason (and there are still tons more) that I will mention about why I switched to LH is that after you have been a customer for a year, they plant 5 trees in your honor to help offset Carbon Emissions as well as towards ending poverty and hunger for small farmers.
Now as you can see, Lyrical Host is all-around amazing! I don’t think I have ever met any company that was this giving! Have you?
